"Tried this chippy today for the 1st time has we're not from the area and the food was lovely. The owner and his good lady are very nice. As it was close to closing time they gave us a free small fish and a sausage. If the owner reads this we enjoyed our tapas night thanks again."

"Piping hot and delicious Fish & Chips (Flapjacks was closed the people on holiday) and this was my alternative eatery today, an excellent choice. The fish was fresh and melted in the mouth, the chips are awesome too. Excellent staff even mentioned The Ship for great food and views. Finished off with a nice cappuccino and now back to work!! The owner has been there for over 20 years, an excellent place to visit and eat"

"The best chippy ever! The two ladies that work at barnacles went above and beyond with their service! I enquired about the chicken curry and they gave me a small pot to take home and try, to see if I’ll like it or not for next time… and it was super yummy! Thank you so much, I will definitely be buying the chicken curry!"

"Stopped in today around an hour before they closed for lunch to be greeted by a lovely polite helpful women behind the counter, picked up a fish and chips a can of coke and a couple scallops and it was lovely. All piping hot, crunchy batter and flaky fish, all for less than a tenner. Absolute bargain compared to what i pay down south where I’m from. Will definitely stop in if im in the area for work again. Thank you"

"I had been looking forward to getting some fish and chips all day after a busy day at work, battled through the warton traffic to get here and have to say it didn't disappoint, proper tasty chippy chips and tasty meaty haddock with a really light and crispy batter.... Absolutely delicious, thanks guys"
